A number of you may have received a call from us over the last week offering our two brand new releases from the stunning 2012 Vintage:

7th Son Grenache Shiraz Sagrantino - an Italian twist on a classic Rhone blend, the Grenache is sourced from 75 year old bush vines, dry and bio-dynamically grown.

Angela Shiraz - named after the Matriarch of the Mitolo family, my mother Angela. Sourced from a single vineyard near Willunga, blueberries, savoury earth and some chewy tannins.

As a mailing list member you are the first to get your hands on these wines and the response has been overwhelming from such a small make. As we don't have everyone's phone number, we are making the same new release six pack offer available through our online cellar door, for mailing list members only. See the offer below.

These wines are suited to the cuisine of my homeland, shared with family and friends. I recommend pairing them with a classic Italian dish such as Saltimbocca, or Bistecca Fiorentina, cooked using our own Mitolo Extra Virgin Olive Oil (now back in stock). Our Olive Oil is made from Tuscan olive varieties, grown on the Mitolo farm in Waikerie South Australia. Best drizzled over some crusty home-made bread, with sea salt and a nice aged Balsamic Vinegar, or as a salad dressing.

Frank Mitolo.

X 3 2012 7th Son Grenache Shiraz Sagrantino RRP $35.00

Predominantly Grenache from 75 year old Blewitt Springs bush vines, intertwined with Shiraz from the heavy clay soils of Aldinga and a dash of Sagrantino, also from Aldinga.

Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2012 7th Son Grenache Shiraz has a wonderfully fragrant nose of crushed red cherries and black raspberries with underlying spice box, bouquet garni and potpourri hints. Medium to full-bodied with lovely freshness and vibrancy in the mouth that is juxtaposed by a medium level of chewy tannins and racy acid, it finishes long. Drink it now to 2018.
